BIO
Bonjour! French Tutoring is spearheaded by Marc Birnkammer.
Marc has been teaching French as a Second Language for roughly 20 years. Since his childhood in a bilingual home, he always wanted to teach languages and dedicate himself to building bridges between cultures.
After obtaining a Masters Degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Savoy, France, Marc taught French at the University of Freiberg, Germany. He then moved to Australia for a year to perfect his English. Subsequently, he was hired by a San Francisco based technology company as an International Marketing Manager.
Enriched by 5 years working in tech and accumulating valuable experience, Marc decided to go back to his true calling: teaching. Through working for various schools, universities and philanthropic organizations, his teaching experience diversified across all age groups from children aged 7 to high schoolers, students, professionals as well as retired people.

In the meantime, Marc had a late 5 year stint in semi and professional indoor soccer having played for the Sacramento Scorpions and Sacramento Surge. ​
